Public Fishing Programs
“Open to the Public” Department sponsored fishing programs will have Sport Fishing Instructors available to provide instructions and answer your questions about fishing. The Department will also have available for loan to the public, on a first come first serve basis, 100 rods and reels and a limited supply of bait.
Fishing Programs are free unless otherwise noted. Program dates and times are subject to change. Participants 10 years and older may fish without a State or Urban fishing license between sanctioned fishing clinic hours, as long as they register at the Arizona Game and Fish booth, located at the fishing clinic site. All participants wanting to fish before or after sanctioned fishing clinic hours, must be lawfully licensed, with the exception of blind residents and juveniles under 10 years of age (who do not need a license).
