One Year Watercraft Renewal Only
During this past legislative session there were several changes that involve recreational boating in Arizona. Beginning August 2012, a portion of the fees formerly assessed to non-residents for watercraft registration will be designated the Arizona Boating Safety Infrastructure Fee (NBSIF). Creating an “infrastructure fee” will not increase or affect the cost of registering a watercraft in Arizona. NBSIF fees will be used for boating safety, law enforcement, and emergency response.
They will also fund improvements to public launch ramps, public piers, restrooms, parking areas, picnic areas, campgrounds and other like facilities. Nonresident owners must display proof of payment of the NBSIF fee before placing the watercraft on Arizona waterways. Proof of payment is shown on the registration certificate and/or decal.
